Her-story of Compass Communications
Compass Communications LLC was founded on the belief that clear, confident communication can steer organizations through even the most turbulent times. Its founder, a former radio and newspaper reporter, brings decades of frontline experience in media and healthcare communications, where the stakes were often high and the pressure unrelenting.
In her time in healthcare and the nonprofit sector, Megan has navigated more than 50 crises firsthand. From mass shootings and car crashes to technology outages, leadership transitions, employee misconduct, and the COVID-19 pandemic, she became the go-to voice in moments that demanded calm, credibility, and connection. Her journalism roots sharpened her instincts for storytelling and truth-telling, while her executive experience shaped her understanding of organizational dynamics and public trust.
Compass Communications was born from this unique blend of skills, created to help leaders communicate with clarity in times of calm and crisis. Today, Compass partners with public agencies, nonprofits, and mission-driven businesses to offer training, coaching, and real-time support, always with a steady hand and a clear direction.
